Our annual Fit for Life 5K Run will be held on Sat., March 27th - you can download details, register by mail, or register online now! The one mile fun run/health walk begins at 9am; the 5K begins at 9:30 am. The course is flat and fast, winding through the beautiful, tree-lined streets of Hightstown, NJ.

Our Website Wins Award!!Our new, completely redesigned website just won its first award! We received a 2009 Silver W3 Award for Best Nonprofit Site. The W3 Awards are given by The International Academy of Visual Arts, honoring outstanding websites, advertising, and videos.
We would like to thank the interactive agency who designed our site, UX Test Kitchen, for their generous time and effort. We’d also like to congratulate them - their site also won a W3 Award for their innovative navigation.
Since we’ve launched our new site, we’ve seen an increase in donations, traffic, and - most importantly - a better understanding of our services and what Rise provides. Thank you to everyone for your continued support!
Greater Goods to Host Fashion ShowGreater Goods Thrift Shop will be hosting a fashion show at the 7th Annual Hightstown Community Fair on Saturday, October 10th at 2:30pm. The models will be dressed exclusively in Greater Goods items, showing how fashionable and trendy you can be for less! Each item from the show will be for sale – and for each purchase, you will be entered into a raffle for a full bag of free Greater Goods items! (Some limitations apply.) Greater Goods Move a Success!The recent Greater Goods move was a success! Buckets of thanks to our staff and the many volunteers who generously donated their time and resources to make this move seamless. Thank you to the Rise staff that took time out from their daily activities to help get the store up and running.
A special thanks is in order to East Windsor’s PBA # 191, who hired State Wide Moving Company to move the store. We could not have done this without their help. If you ever need a moving company, look no further: State Wide is professional, caring, efficient and punctual. Many thanks to our new friends from the New Jeruselem Church who took time off from work and retirement to help us organize ourselves at the new store, set our thermostat, hang signs, clean , sort, fold, tag and get everything out on the floor in time for our grand opening. An extra special thanks goes to our volunteer, Laura, who came to the store everyday to help design the floor plan and put our furniture department in order.
Looking for a fun way to get involved? We need you more than ever! Now that we’ve extended our hours of operation, we need volunteers to help keep the store running smoothly. We especially need individuals or groups to help sort and tag donated clothing. Retirees, youth and service groups are welcome. We are also looking for volunteer leaders to help recruit and train new volunteers. Donating your time and energy can make a real difference in our community! Now Accepting Summer Camp Applications![NOW CLOSED!] Rise is now accepting applications for summer camp. The Summer HELP (Hightstown-East Windsor Learning Partners) Enrichment Program runs from July 6-August 7, 8:00am-4:30 pm. It includes breakfast, lunch, math and science enrichment, sports, field trips, and swimming! Early and late pick-ups are optional.
