Emergency Assistance
In partnership with FEMA and the Salvation Army we provide funds for short-term emergency shelter, utility payment, rental assistance, arbitration, and medication assistance to families and individuals in need.
Food Pantry
As part of a county-wide Nutritional Alliance partially funded by United Way of Greater Mercer County, in partnership with St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, and Whole Foods Market, we maintain a year-round pantry of perishable and non-perishable food, as well as personal care items and baby supplies.
We also provide information for healthy meal plans, including nutrition classes onsite by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension in both English in Spanish.
Once eligibility is determined, families are entitled to visit the pantry on a weekly basis. The pantry is located at 225 Franklin Street in Hightstown, NJ. Hours are Mon. - Wed. 9am - 12pm (for recipients) and 8am - 11am (for donors).
